Middlesex Cricket has appointed We Are Disrupt to support the delivery of their women and girls’ cricket strategy.
Middlesex Cricket is a well-respected club within the domestic game. Proud of their successes and century and half long history, the club aspires to be at the forefront of the game, fostering the diversity and inclusivity of cricket at all levels.
We Are Disrupt, the agency specialising in women’s sport, was launched in March by Emma Lax, former Head of Women’s Sport and Lifestyle at CSM Sport and Entertainment.
Richard Goatley, Chief Executive of Middlesex Cricket commented: “At Middlesex Cricket, we are committed to making cricket a sport for all, regardless of gender, age or ethnicity. With an incredible victory for England Women at the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2017 in front of a capacity crowd, we believe we are on the cusp of a revolution in the sport. Middlesex Cricket’s ambition is to be leaders in this revolution by increasing the number of opportunities for women and girls to play cricket at a community level, attracting more female fans and supporting Middlesex Women to success. We are very much looking forward to working with We Are Disrupt to make all this happen.”
Emma Lax, Managing Director of We Are Disrupt added: “We are very excited to be appointed by Middlesex Cricket to deliver their strategy for women and girls’ cricket, enabling them to unlock additional revenue to invest in the growth of the game. Our team are passionate about ensuring that cricket is a sport for all and we are excited by the opportunity to partner with the Middlesex Cricket to achieve this.”
The aim of the strategy is to unlock the commercial opportunity of women and girls’ cricket, enabling them to accelerate the development of the game across London.
